Ever heard of the ‘Fat Tuesday’, ‘Shrove Tuesday’ or in french ‘Mardi Gras’!
It’s called so due to the tradition of eating pancakes on such a day. It always falls 47 days before Easter so the date moves but it will always be between February 3rd and March 9th. The day gets its name from the tradition of Christians who try to use up all the fatty foods they’ve got before Lent.

Pancake Day itself came much later as a way of using up rich foods, like eggs, milk and sugar before the 40 days of fasting.

This year, Tuesday 28 February 2017 is the National Pancake Day; so we’ve decided to share a very delicious pancake recipe with a mild espresso flavor. It’s gonna be the best way to kick off your day!
